Intra-Americas Seas Data

Naval Research Laboratory's NCOM data for the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean is higher resolution data than the other NCOM sets available on this server. The data contains physical oceanographic data on currents, salinity, sea surface height, mixed layer depth, maximum density gradient and temperature.

MODIS Level 3 Data


Note that CoastWatch does not support all of the data contained in the original files. The CoastWatch versions will have only a subset of the original data.
This data set contains sea surface temperature and history derived from an analysis of MODIS Level 3 data.

Data containing detailed analysis of ocean water based on inputs from MODIS Aqua, MODIS Terra, and AVHRR satellites. This data set contains numerous types of data about the ocean including both physical and biological data.

This data is a worldwide set derived from various satellite sources. It contains sea-surface temperatures and sea surface heights. It also contains estimated error data for both.

Navy Coastal Ocean Model (NCOM) global Data

This time-series data contains temperature, salinity, currents, and sea surface height. NCOM data is now being distributed globally. It is divided up into numbered regions, which when combined form a global coverage. We are serving the three areas that cover North America and Hawaii: areas 1, 6 and 7. We are also serving regions 5 and 10 in support of research partners.
